I've got some ideas from watching a couple of French films, namely "The Last Mistress" and "The Science of Sleep". Maybe my assumptions of French culture by these movies are skewed, but they very much help me. By the way, I'm allowed to swear (tastefully), right?

  1. Yes, appropriate swearing is real. By appropriate, I mean that if the swearing characterizes the person in the story, then it is proper to use that dialect/dialogue to reveal character. Just swearing to swear gets old fast, and (in my opinion) detracts from quality writing.

Sorry I did not connect with you earlier. I somehow forgot to follow your blog though I had it in the class library.
